A Covid-19 Compliance Officer (CCO) is a new and very essential position for the Film, TV and Photo Industries, we ensure the safety of your set, crew + talent as we work through this pandemic.
The CCO is a Key Department Head and a standalone position whose role it is to create and enforce procedures, plans and protocols ensuring safe solutions on your set by following all city, state, and federal guidelines.
WHAT DO I DO?
Glad you asked! Having come from the event and production worlds, I live and breathe logistics so I am involved with most of the Production’s activity, including but not limited to:
♦ LOCATIONS: Consultation before location scout begins to ensure that transportation and scouting are done as safely as possible. Walk location(s) for production safety protocol capabilities.
♦ PRE-PRODUCTION: Detailing production safety plans and screening procedures, ensuring adequate PPE + sanitization supplies are procured, sending out health screening questionnaire to all crew + talent, lead a health and safety meeting before production begins to go over protocols, ensuring screening procedures and on set COVID-19 safety instructions are sent out with the call sheet. *RT-PCR testing can be arranged 24-hours before any scouting or production begins.
♦ CATERING: Work with catering and crafty vendors to ensure they are internally following all safety guidelines and to ensure they are compliant for the safety of crew + talent.
♦ TRANSPORTATION: Work with Production to ensure all on-set transportation is following capacity and sanitizing guidelines for the safety of crew + talent.
♦ ON-SET: Conduct check-in, perform health screenings, take temperatures, maintain a log of all onset personnel (Duty Of Care Health Screening Notebook,) distribute Duty Of Care PPE kits, monitor and enforce mask wearing, monitor and enforce physical distancing (wherever possible,) check hand hygiene and disinfecting stations, stocking and distribution of PPE, ensure good location ventilation (open doors + windows where possible,) ensure that high-touch point surfaces and equipment are being sanitized, overall monitoring of talent & crew activity ensuring protocols and guidelines are being followed.
♦ WRAP: Ensure that location, equipment and all vehicles are properly disinfected during wrap & taillights. Deliver Duty Of Care Health Screening Notebook to Producer.
